I’ve heard their name around for a while but never really given them much thought, they’re always just been a name banded about but there’s never been much eagerness to listen to them. However, when it came to finding something new to listen to their name jumped out.
I’m glad it did. The vocalist has a lovely voice, kind of gruff at points but smooth at others and there’s something very Mumford and Sons about them, but they’re not a complete copy. (more…)

Mumford and Sons are absolutely brilliant and there was a lot of doubt concerning the second album but hearing I Will Wait blows away any doubt whatsoever. There’s no point in it lingering because this track completely blows it away! (more…)
I find it very difficult to find a guy with a soothing voice, I believe the last one was Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Sons, but Alexi Murdoch has blipped onto the radar in a rather gruff but understated way. (more…)

Ever since I discovered her first two albums Laura Marling has been an absolute favourite of mine. Her albums are almost impossible to get bored with.
Which means when I decided to listen to all her tracks on shuffle to get me through my daily routine I was once again hooked. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve heard her music before there’s always something new to admire. (more…)
I came across this beautiful cover at Sutro’s Songs. I can’t even begin to say how amazing this track is. I’ve had it on repeat since hearing it for the first time.
