Kill Kasper – Google Gossip, Lies & Promises and you can watch the video for our new single
Kill Kasper is another Portsmouth based band and yes they’re another staple throughout the local scene. They’re a rock band making a name for themselves and this year played on the Seaside Stage, the same one that Tom Odell headlines later that day. Kill Kasper have also had some attention from the likes of BBC Introducing, and not to mention that they’ve received global internet attention.
They had a lot on their mind on the day of the festival, they had their set in the early afternoon and not long after that they had somewhere else to be. But, quite understandably one member had a lot more on his mind, like proposing to his now fiancé on stage. Of course we would like to pass our congratulations on to Jamie!
Due to the tight schedule on both our ends we were unable to meet, but we did catch up via email, so thankfully we do have an interview to share with you. This time we numbered the cards and got Jamie to choose five random numbers.
Musical Nourishment (MN): Do you have any superstitions?
Jamie (J): Yes, when you believe in things that you don’t understand, then you suffer.
MN: The person you would most like to meet and why?
J: That would be Roger Waters from Pink Floyd. He’s a bit of a hero of mine.
MN: What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind and why?
J: Something to do with conspiracy theories. The more absurd, the better! It doesn’t have to be true, just something that sparks the imagination and gets you thinking, ‘what if?’
MN: Tell me a secret.
J: Act One: Journalisms.
MN: What do you think makes good music and why?
J: Honesty, passion, raw emotion and a healthy dose of ‘up yours’! I want music to stick it to the man, I want it to mean something!
MN: Lastly, is there anything coming up for Kill Kasper that you want people to know about?
J: If you Google Gossip, Lies & Promises you can watch the video for our new single which is out shortly. We stick it to the man, it means something.
