Victorious Festival Preview: Kassassin Street
Kassassin Street is a Southsea based band full of surprises. They’ve become a hit with the critics and proven to be quite popular in the local scene as well. They will be playing Victorious Festival, to what will undoubtedly be a packed audience of music marauders, and the following month they’ll be gracing the streets of Portsmouth once again for Southsea Fest. The next couple of months will truly be an exciting time for the Portsmouth music scene, as well as Kassassin Street themselves.
The band have impressed the guys at NME with their brand of music and they’ve been working hard to build upon that. It has definitely been a busy time for the band, with date after date to play, but it’s not difficult to figure out why they’re in such demand. Their debut single, The Royal Handkerchief Ballet, is a wonderfully fast-paced track with quirky vocals and draws on an inspiration that is going to keep them making impressive waves throughout the scene.
If you get the chance to see them at Victorious Festival they’ll be waiting for you on the Seaside Stage on Sunday 24 August.
