Victorious Festival Preview: Heronshaw

Heronshaw are a folk rock band that have recently celebrated the milestone of five years together. They’re lucky enough to have two slots at the festival in August, they’ll be appearing on Sunday 24 on the Real Ale stage as well as the Castle Stage on the same day.

2014 is proving to be an exciting year for the band. They released single Let Me Down Slow in February, are expected to begin recording their second EP this month. The single itself has garnered some favourable attention and been featured on BBC Introducing and has also broken into the top 20 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart.

To be fair, if their single is anything to go by they have an incredibly bright future ahead. The brand of music the produce is similar to people like Mumford and Sons, but Heronshaw have put their own stamp on it. They’re forging their own way forward and not replying on ground already made by musicians before them.

They’ll be an exciting act to go and watch at the festival next month. If you get the chance go and have a listen to them!
